Hope against all Hope

Arise and Shine………amidst the darkness

A True story
This is a true story of a man in India who distributed five hundred Chapattis (Unleavened flat bread) to the poor every Sunday. Now there came a season of time when he was finding it difficult to do so and in the coming week he wondered what to do.  He shared his situation with his wife and she advised him to distribute the Chapattis once in two weeks.  He also shared his situation with the Church Pastor and he advised him, three hundred would be good enough. He was not convinced and he went to the Lord in prayer.  The man asked the Lord with a heavy heart, as he had been doing this work of charity for quite some time.  The Lords answer baffled, him surprised him and changed his faith life forever.  The Lord replied ‘ My son if you are unable to give five hundred then give a Thousand’. The answer resounded in his spirit for quite some  ‘ My son if you are unable to give five hundred then give a Thousand’.

So never give up. We were not called to give up, but to give from His supplies, for He is able to do much more , much more than we can ask , think or imagine.  God supplies according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.  The supplies are from above for His purposes and glory.  This story has always challenged me, does it challenge you?  Never give up for God can. On our own we may fail, but with God we can.  When we do all things for His purposes,  His resources are still abundant and there will be no short supply.

No matter what the situation or circumstance, do not give up. This is the time and season to press on.  To press on to till you reach the promised land, till you reach the promises of God. Till all the promises God has given you, are Yes and Amen, in Christ Jesus.  For the promise is closer than we can imagine.

Abraham had a promise for a child, for God told him that his descendants would be as the stars of the sky. The promise was given when it was naturally impossible for him to have one.  So it not in our ability but in the one who promises. It is about the one who fulfills His promise, for He is Able and He is God.

Do not waiver in unbelief

Jesus came four days after the death of Lazarus.  There is a common belief among the Jews that the spirit of the dead person would be hovering for about three days.  So probably the Lord Jesus waited for four days.  Then finally to show His glorious work He raised Lazarus from the dead.  The family had lost all hope.  But when God shows up today anything is possible. For Nothing shall be impossible with Him. If He can raise the dead man, he can lift you up from any dead situation, He can give life to your situation.  What is without hope and is dead can see life even now as you are reading.  Only believe.  Abraham believed against all odds.  Only believe and you will see the glory of God, His supernatural works in a natural world.  In Rom 4:17,18 we read a powerful statement which says ….. (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”

When God was able to call out those things which do not exist as though they did, then in response Abraham believed and hoped in a contrary situation only to see a promise fulfilled and Gods name glorified.  He expressed and believed in hope against all hopes and this birthed out the due and promised son.  God will do this as we stand for Him and believe in His promises for us. NOW, hope against all hopes and the promise is about to be delivered in the natural.  All for His glory and praise..

Peter………Why did you doubt
